How do organizations get added to your data?
Organizations can be added to the system in one of three ways:
- By an organization registering themselves on your public site
- By your staff or system administrator adding them to your data
- Through importing data from an external source

Organization Record Basics
In Salesforce, there are two main record types that are the backbone of its database:
Accounts and Contacts.
Every contact in the system MUST be associated with an account or you are unable to save the record!
Contacts are typically associated with the organization that they work for!
