HOC Release Notes 3.12.14 (Apr 03 - Apr 10)

New Features:

Improved Navigation: Search for Menu Items in New CMS Layout (LHH-20900)

This update significantly improves navigation within the new Content Management System (CMS) layout by adding a search box for menu items. Previously, finding specific options in the extensive menu could be challenging.

Now, administrators can easily locate desired menu options using the new search box in the lateral menu. This enhancement also extends to searching for items within blocks and Account Registration System (ARS) configurations, streamlining content management.

Deployment to Production: April 3, 2025.

Listing Block Buttons Now at Top and Bottom (LHH-20964)

This update improves the accessibility and usability of Listing Blocks, particularly when using Data Tables or making updates. Previously, the action buttons were only available at one end of the block.

Now, a new "Button position" configuration field has been implemented in "Listing CMS Settings." This setting allows administrators to choose where the buttons appear: at the top, at the bottom, or at both positions of the Listing Block. This enhancement makes it easier for users to interact with large data tables without excessive scrolling.

Deployment to Production: April 3, 2025.

Improvements:

New CMS: Custom Calculation Hours Display Fixed (LHH-20889)

This update fixes an issue in our content management system (CMS) where all options for setting custom calculation hours weren't always showing up correctly. This was due to a technical encoding issue.

Now, all available options for custom calculation hours will display properly, making it easier for you to configure these settings.

Deployment to Production: April 3, 2025.

Form Success Message Display Fixed for New Forms (LHH-21020)

This update resolves an issue in the new Content Management System (CMS) where the success message section for newly created forms was not being displayed. This meant administrators couldn't configure or see the message users would receive after a successful form submission.

The problem was caused by a missing step in the new CMS's logic that prevented the success message section from becoming visible during form creation. This fix includes the necessary adjustments, ensuring that the form success message section is now correctly displayed for all new forms, allowing for proper configuration of post-submission feedback.

Deployment to Production: April 3, 2025.

Improved Form Builder: Preventing Nested Address Components (LHH-21039)

This update addresses an issue in the Form Builder where it was inadvertently possible to embed an Address component within another Address component, leading to complications.

To prevent this, logic has been added to the Form Builder to specifically prevent the inclusion of an Address component inside another. As a temporary measure while further refactoring of form fields is underway, the ability to add an Address component is currently limited to sections.

Deployment to Production: April 3, 2025.

CMS Layout: Corrected ARS Page Labeling (LHH-20951)

This update resolves an issue in the new Content Management System (CMS) where Advanced Registration System (ARS) pages were displaying with an incorrect "main" layout label. Previously, the old CMS correctly showed these pages associated with a "subset" internal layout, but the new CMS did not.

The fix ensures that ARS pages now accurately reflect their "subset" internal layout association in the new CMS, providing clear and correct information for administrators.

Deployment to Production: April 3, 2025.

Fix for Custom Form Notification Page Issues (LHH-21006)

This update resolves issues encountered with custom form notification pages. These pages were not displaying or loading correctly in either the new or old Content Management System (CMS) layouts. Additionally, there was a problem with select element options not displaying correctly on Mac devices.

The following fixes have been applied:

  • Region Settings Adjustment: The "Search-Section" region's fixed height setting has been changed to "Auto" to improve display. (Note: Large elements should typically be placed in the "Main Content" region.)
  • Mac Display Fix: Adjustments were made to ensure that select elements now display correctly on Mac devices, utilizing select2 for improved rendering.

These changes ensure that custom form notification pages load and display as intended, providing a better experience for both administrators and end-users.

Deployment to Production: April 3, 2025.

Resolved: Error 500 on Volunteer Opportunity Details with Additional Fields (LHH-21043)

This update resolves a critical "Error 500" that occurred when viewing the details of a Volunteer Opportunity (VO) that included additional fields. This error prevented users from accessing the full details of these opportunities.

The problem was caused by an issue in the application's code where a null value was incorrectly being converted to an integer, leading to a general exception. This typically happened when retrieving data for the additional fields.

The fix addresses this conversion error, ensuring that Volunteer Opportunity details, even with additional fields, now load correctly without generating an error. This also included fixes related to retrieving current language, default language, and site variables that affected ARS in configuration mode, Kiosk with forms, signup with teams, and the Sharing Portal.

Deployment to Production: April 3, 2025.

HOC4 Connection Grid "Select All" Button Fixed (LHH-21044)

This update resolves an issue in the HOC4 Sharing Portal's connection grid where the "Select All" checkbox was not functioning correctly, preventing users from selecting multiple records at once for actions like sending bulk emails.

The problem was caused by a recent improvement to the "Select All" feature that indirectly affected the HOC4 Sharing Portal. This fix updates the behavior of the HOC4 Sharing Portal blocks to align with the new "Select All" functionality, ensuring that the "Select All" button now works as intended.

Deployment to Production: April 3, 2025.

Kiosk Check-in Error Fix (LHH-21047)

This update resolves an issue experienced with kiosks, where users would encounter a "500! Error" message after pressing "check in," even though the check-in process was still successful.

This problem was related to a broader issue concerning "Error 500 in VO details when the VO has additional fields," which has also been addressed. The fix ensures that the kiosks now function correctly without displaying misleading error messages during check-in.

Deployment to Production: April 3, 2025.

Forms Submission and Date Picker Fixes (LHH-21063)

This update resolves two key issues affecting forms:

  • Form Submission Failures: Previously, some volunteers experienced issues where their registration forms would not submit, even without displaying any errors. This has been fixed to ensure forms submit successfully.
  • Self-Reported Hours Date Picker: Volunteers encountered problems selecting or entering dates in the self-reported hours function, especially when using Firefox. This issue affected both laptops and smartphones. This update includes a fix to ensure the date picker functions correctly across different browsers and devices.

Deployment to Production: April 10, 2025.

ReCAPTCHA Display Fixed (LHH-21074)

This update resolves an issue where the reCAPTCHA was being hidden by the image slider on some web pages, particularly when screens were at 100% zoom. This prevented users from completing forms or other actions requiring reCAPTCHA verification.

The problem was addressed by adjusting the CSS styling to ensure the reCAPTCHA widget is correctly positioned and visible, no longer being obscured by other page elements.

Deployment to Production: April 10, 2025.

HOC4: Volunteer Registration ARS Form Logic Fix (LHH-21068)

This update resolves an issue in HOC4 where administrators were unable to use branch logic with form fields in the Volunteer Registration Account Registration System (ARS). This prevented the dynamic display of form fields based on user selections.

The problem was that the form fields were not appearing as options when attempting to set up branch logic. The necessary settings have been added to correct this, ensuring that form fields can now be used with branch logic in HOC4 Volunteer Registration ARS forms.

Deployment to Production: April 10, 2025.

Checkbox Form Submission Fix (LHH-21086)

This update resolves an issue where volunteers were unable to sign up for opportunities after selecting their pledge actions and consenting. Instead of proceeding to the confirmation page, the pledge page would simply refresh. This problem was due to the logic for required checkbox fields being placed on the sections instead of the specific fields.

The fix ensures that the logic for required checkbox fields is now correctly applied to the individual fields, allowing pledge forms to submit successfully and redirect users to the confirmation page.

Deployment to Production: April 10, 2025.

Page Title Alignment Fixed in New CMS Layout (LHH-21091)

This update resolves an issue in the new Content Management System (CMS) layout where the page title alignment was not functioning correctly.

The problem was due to missing logic to validate the align title setting. This fix ensures that the page title alignment now works as intended in the new CMS layout.

Deployment to Production: April 10, 2025.
