HOC Release Notes 3.13.0 (May 29-July 22)

New Features:

HOC3 - Listing Block: Facets Now Accessible for CMS Admins (LHH-21482)

This update resolves an issue in HOC3 where CMS administrators were unable to add or interact with Facets in the Listing Block. Previously, clicking on "Facets" would yield no action, likely due to a setting restricting this functionality to only "Global Only" users. Facets allow you to add filters to a Listing Block, so users can narrow down the data they see.

The fix ensures that the Facets functionality is now available to all CMS administrators, allowing them to configure and manage facets within the Listing Block.

Deployment to Production: July 3, 2025.

HOC3: Prevent Indexing of Partner Organization Pages (LHH-21489)

This update provides a solution for organizations that wish to prevent search engines from indexing their Partner Organization profile pages. Previously, these automatically generated pages were appearing in search results, causing confusion for users who sometimes mistook the organization's profile for the partner agency's direct contact.

A new configuration field has been added to the "Open Activation Module." This setting allows administrators to control whether an organization's profile pages are indexed by search engines. When enabled, the system will add the <meta name="robots" content="noindex, nofollow" /> tag to these pages, instructing search engines not to index them. This helps to prevent your organization's profile pages from appearing in search results for your partners.

If you want to enable this feature, please open a support case.

Deployment to Production: July 3, 2025.

Login SettingsOptions (LHH-21570)

Login settings have been updated to include new features such as hiding the login, account, and registration options, customizing colors, managing display mode, and choosing a login button style.

Assign Blocks to Subsite - No Longer "Global Only" (LHH-21564)

This update resolves a significant usability issue where CMS Administrators were unable to directly assign blocks to subsites they manage. Previously, this functionality was restricted to "Global Only" users, requiring administrators to contact support for assistance in building out subsites.

Now, as a CMS Administrator, you will be able to assign blocks to subsites directly, streamlining the process of building and managing content for your paid subsites. This change removes the "global restriction" for all blocks in both the new and old CMS interfaces.

Deployment to Production: July 22, 2025.

Improvements:

New CMS: Content Type Box Display Fixed (LHH-21376)

This update resolves an issue where the "Content Type" box was not appearing in the new Content Management System (CMS) layout. This prevented administrators from categorizing and managing content effectively.

The problem was caused by a JavaScript conflict that prevented the content type from being saved on pages. The necessary fixes have been implemented to allow the "Content Type" box to display and function as expected in the new CMS layout.

Deployment to Production: June 9, 2025.

Subsite Blocks Visibility Fix (LHH-21387)

This update resolves a recurring issue where, after a Content Management System (CMS) administrator made changes to a block associated with a subsite, the subsite connection would become unchecked, making the block no longer visible on the subsite.

The problem was caused by a missing validation that allowed the subsite value to be lost during CMS admin updates. The fix adds the necessary validation to ensure that the subsite connection remains intact for both global and CMS administrators, ensuring blocks remain visible on their assigned subsites.

Deployment to Production: June 9, 2025.

HOC3 Listing CMS: Preset Values Field Display Fix (LHH-21425)

This update resolves an issue in Listing CMS Blocks where the "Preset Values" option was not displaying the available field values. This prevented administrators from correctly configuring preset values for their listings.

The fix ensures that the field values now appear as options in the "Preset Values" setting within the Listing CMS, allowing for proper configuration.

Deployment to Production: June 19, 2025.

Corrected Pop-up Message for Multi-Shift Sign-ups (LHH-21458)

This update resolves a grammatical error in the pop-up message displayed when volunteers choose to sign up for multiple shifts. Previously, the message was unclear.

The new message now reads: "You've selected [insert #] occurrence(s) to sign up for. Is that correct?" This provides a clearer and more professional confirmation to volunteers. This applies to both "sign up" and "express interest" multi-shift scenarios.

Deployment to Production: June 19, 2025.

HOC3: Sorting Filter for Opportunities Now Works (LHH-21487)

This update resolves an issue where administrators were unable to change the default sorting filter for "upcoming training" and "volunteer opportunities" pages. Previously, the setting would always revert to "Distance" even after attempting to save it to "Next Occurrence Date."

The problem was a bug in the CMS logic related to the Search Result block that caused the "Sort By" setting to reset. The CMS logic has been updated to ensure that the "Sort By" setting is no longer reset during updates, allowing you to correctly sort these pages by "Next Occurrence Date" or other desired options.

Deployment to Production: July 3, 2025.
